Coach Sky was a starting libero for the Little Falls Flyers as a sophomore (2010), junior (2011), and senior (2012). During her time as a flyer, she was selected to compete in the North Central All-Star game two years in a row. She was also voted MVP Defensive Player of the Year for three consecutive seasons, earned All-Conference Honorable Mention twice, and earned All-Conference Defensive Player of the Year. During her senior season, she helped lead the Flyers to an undefeated Granite Ridge Conference championship and a sub-section runner up finish. Her team lost by two points in OT during the final section game to make it to the state tournament. She holds multiple school records on the Flyer leaderboard, including: 1st with 352 digs in a season (2011). 1st with a 2.55 serve-receive percentage (2011). 2nd with 32 digs in a match and 3rd with 733 career digs.
After high school, she was recruited to play in college as a libero/DS for Jamestown University under Coach John Hegerle. Unfortunately, a career-ending back injury resulting in a spinal fusion surgery forced her to step away from the game after her freshman season.
Coach Sky teaches 6th grade math in Park Rapids. Her husband, Lee Skajewski, is the 7th grade science teacher in Park Rapids. They have a 2.5 year old daughter named Juniper and reside on Paine Lake with 3 dogs, 12 chickens and 2 horses.
Coach Sky is thrilled to share her knowledge, passion and experience with athletes and help them reach their highest potential.

Hello! My name is Leah Weaver, and I’m so excited to be back in the gym again this season. Volleyball has been a constant thread throughout my life, as a player, a fan, a parent, and a coach.it truly feels like home to me. I live in Park Rapids with my husband Nick, our two daughters Riley and Elliana, and our four dogs. When we’re not on the lake or out exploring, you’ll almost always find us in the gym cheering, coaching, or playing our favorite sport, volleyball. I bring over 8 years of coaching experience, working with athletes from 10U through 17U, as well as at the junior high level. Along the way, I’ve also coached track and volleyball, with one very short season of softball mixed in. While I can confidently say volleyball holds my heart, track is a very close second. As an athlete, I played volleyball through my junior year before realizing that running had truly captured me. That passion led me to join cross country, allowing me to continue into track season and further develop my love for competition, discipline, and growth. I'm passionate about helping athletes build strong fundamentals, confidence, and a love for the game both on and off the court. I can’t wait for this season and the continued opportunity to coach, support, and grow alongside our amazing athletes.
